About Love and Glory Daycare in Decatur AL

Our Beginning

Love and Glory Daycare began as a dream long before it became a licensed program. Alicia wanted to give her own children a loving, faith centered home learning experience. As she taught them early skills, she saw how well they were prepared for school and how confidently they learned. This inspired her to open a childcare program where every child could receive the same support, encouragement, and joy for learning. Today, the center is built on family, faith, and the belief that God gives every child the potential to grow.

How We Teach

Our approach blends play based learning with Christian values, curiosity, and real world experiences. Children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and encouraged, so every activity is designed to help them explore with confidence. We follow a hands on learning style where children touch, see, hear, and experience new concepts in ways that make sense to them.

Throughout the day, children practice early literacy, math, problem solving, and social emotional skills. We read stories, sing songs, explore sensory stations, count objects, ask questions, and build simple science skills. These activities help children strengthen their communication, independence, and understanding of the world around them.

Faith guides our interactions. We model patience, kindness, and gratitude to help children build character and strong values. Whether they are learning indoors or discovering nature outside, our goal is to make each moment meaningful and joyful. We walk alongside every child, helping them grow with confidence and excitement for learning.

Our Programs

Meet Alicia

Alicia is a devoted early childhood educator who brings warmth, faith, and genuine passion to every child she cares for. She believes that children thrive when they feel loved, respected, and encouraged, and she works every day to create that kind of environment. Alicia is CPR certified, maintains all required CCDF trainings, and continues to stay informed on best practices in early learning so families can feel confident in the quality of care their children receive. While not a full Montessori school, we use Montessori-inspired practices that encourage independence, choice, and exploration.

She takes time to get to know each child and each family, learning their personalities, routines, and individual needs. Building strong relationships is at the center of her teaching style. Alicia believes that parents and caregivers are partners, and she communicates openly to ensure every child feels supported at home and in the classroom. Through patient guidance and personal attention, she helps children grow into confident learners who feel safe, valued, and ready for each new day.
